Mr. Wayne was out today, his sub was Ms. Maria who made everything easier and smoother. We had 19 kids today, it was crazy.
When we went outside with the kids, Ms. Maria covered the apparatus from the start. It felt like we had enough adults to cover the whole outside area. I noticed Maximus was missing, and Ms. Maria saw him go into Ms. Robinson's classroom and Ms. Robinson said she'd handle him. He came out with her class maybe 20 minutes later. His grandma showed us the wrist leash she uses on him when she picked him up. Apparently, if the principal approves, we can use it.
Kamila cried nonstop... again. Her face turned red from all of her crying. The teachers were saying she's not ready for school, she shouldn't be here if she wails and cries the entire time.
Update on Darla the raw vegan: she's had Funyuns and teddy grahams as snacks this week.
Ms. Jodhi spoke to Ava's mom about Friday's diaper. She looked up the time she changed Ava on Friday, it was 4pm, so she must've pooped in the hour between then and when she was picked up. Ms. Jodhi said she wants us all on the same page about changing her. I love how defensive Ms. Jodhi is of our team and our care. Ava's mother agreed to not change how we're doing things.
I also understand how quickly a diaper can get soiled. We changed Maximus' wet diaper at 2:15 and by 2:30, Ms. Flores was telling us he pooped himself and we need to change him again. Ms. Sosie said he's constipated with pellets as hard as rocks. It was the second weird poop, Amaya had green diarrhea. Something must've been in their lunch because Charles pooped later too. I could smell the poo on Charles when he came close to me and knew to change him.
It's only Tuesday and I'm tired. Ms. Flores said something about not wanting me to leave, how it'll get easier when the kids get assessed and we get more help. It's nice, but I don't want to stay. This is too much.
