Crescent Heights Day 24

Sadly, Ms. Jodhi was out sick today and we didn't have a sub after Ms. Flowers left.

When Ms. Sosie helped Eliana wipe her butt, she noticed bruising near her butt crack. She told me to look, and then told Ms. Leslie. I told Ms. Sosie that Eliana told me a bad girl pushed her down and hurt her armpit. She told me to tell Ms. Flowers, who was occupied with LAUSD IT trying to log onto her computer. Ms. Sosie told Ms. Leslie, so they took Eliana back to the bathroom to check again. Then Ms. Flowers checked too.

Ms. Sosie disappeared into the principal's office, and we took the kids outside. There were new kids furniture, stepping stones in the wood chip pit, and new toys. The kids were very excited to play. Ms. Sosie came out like half an hour later with a note for me to sign to tell Eliana's parents about her injuries, she couldn't help with the class because she was handling the reporting. It's so hard to report because it takes you away from the kids, I'm glad Ms. Sosie took the reins.

Miss Yami and I brought the kids inside around 4, and they were actually watching the yoga video and participating. Ms. Robinson's class joined us shortly after and the room stayed calm with Bluey on the screen and kids coloring.

When Elena's mom was ready to leave with Elena and her sister, Isabella, Elena began to throw a fit, stomping her feet and saying no. Ms. Robinson said "no crying," but Elena's mom couldn't get her out the door. Finally Ms. Robinson went over to her to talk and get her moving. It's so impressive to me how the teachers can better handle the kids than the parents.
