Crescent Heights Day 20

Miss Jodhi started the afternoon with all the kids sitting on a rug outside and brought them up in pairs to do a math activity. Before they did math, she brought Honor and Luca in front of the group. She asked Honor to apologize for biting Luca's finger and asked Luca to tell Honor not to bite him again. Biting, yikes.

Abigail started crying on the playground. I didn't see any blood or injury, so I told her to go to Mr. Wayne to check her out. She went to Miss Jodhi, continuing to cry. Miss Jodhi put her on a tricycle and helped her pedal. After about ten minutes, Miss Jodhi asked me to check to see if she's wet, which would be surprising because we just changed her. She had poop smeared between her cheeks. No wonder she was crying. I flinched when I saw it and Miss Jodhi said she'll take care of it, she'll give me a break. Thank goodness.

I'm so frustrated with this two year old. We cannot understand her and we don't have the support to check her diaper or take her to the bathroom every hour. Especially when the other aides start to leave at 3:30.

Zarah stood on a wooden stump and sang "Let it go," and refused to leave the stump when other kids wanted to step on it. She said she was singing the Elsa song. I really wanted to film her, she had a big smile as she sang her nonsense words.

Samantha made me feel very old. She pushed around the veins on my hands. When she was picked up, I asked if it was her mom, and she laughed and said it's her grandma.
